The Greater Fredericksburg Area SPCA is a No-Kill animal Humane Care Center serving Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford and surrounding communities in Virginia since 1943. We promote, advocate and provide compassionate and proper care of companion animals through sterilization, rehabilitation and adoption of homeless dogs and cats as well as humane education and community outreach.

In March 2000, we became a No-Kill facility, meaning that no healthy, adoptable animal will be euthanzied for lack of space. We are a safe haven where homeless pets are brought for health, healing and ultimately, a second chance in a loving, adoptive home.

Compassion, Commitment and Community are the foundations of our mission as we continue to grow and serve the needs of our diversified population.

Unfortunately, our current facility is woefully inadequate to meet the demands placed upon us by our rapidly growing area population.

As a result, we are building a new Humane Care Center and need your support. Visit our Membership Pageand consider joining in our very serious cause. With the strength of our community behind us, we will be able to help more people and more animals in our area.
